Covenant thanks the anonymous donor of a glider rock to replace the one that was broken.


Covenant’s annual congregational meeting and carry-in meal will be held after worship this Sunday, January 26.


The deadline for the February newsletter is noon on Monday, January 27.


The January meeting of Westminster Circle has been postponed to 1:00 p.m. next Wednesday, January 29, in the parlor due to weather conditions.


Members of the Covenant family are encouraged to complete and return the animal-themed questionnaires inserted into worship bulletins on January 12 & 19 as we begin a process of long-term planning for the congregation’s future. Completed forms may be placed in the box on the desk in the parlor. Blank forms are available beside next to the box. Please submit your comments in advance of the January 26 congregational meeting.


A sign-up sheet for children’s Sunday School volunteers is posted on the information table.


Covenant will deliver Meals on Wheels on February 3-7.  A sign-up sheet for volunteers is posted on the information table.


In observance of the Souper Bowl of Caring, please bring cans of soup with you to worship on Sunday, February 2, and place them in the red wagon. Donations will be given to the Community Food Pantry. We are receiving these items in support of the youth group’s collection of food and donations for the food pantry that weekend.


Youth Sunday will be held on February 9. After a youth-led worship service, the annual soup & chili cook-off fundraiser will take the place of the second Sunday luncheon. A sign-up sheet for volunteers to bring crock pots full of soup or chili for the event is posted on the information table.


The Mission & Evangelism Committee is collecting hats, mittens, and gloves for local people in need during the month of January. Donations may be placed in the designated container on the information table.


The Community Food Pantry is in need of empty egg cartons, which may be placed in the red wagon in the foyer.

From the Mission & Evangelism Committee: cleaning supplies, personal grooming items for men, and non-perishable foods are needed for the Fresh Start house. We also continue to collect Hygiene Kits for the HOOT Resource Center as well as unopened travel-size toiletries for the Red Suitcase and diapers and diaper coupons for the Baby Grace program.


Al-Anon family group meets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays in Covenant’s conference room. Anyone whose life has been affected by someone else’s alcohol and/or drug abuse is invited to attend.
