Worship services at Covenant Presbyterian Church will resume at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, in a drive-in format. Please remain in your vehicle on the church parking lot and tune your radio to FM 91.5 (you may need to adjust the volume upward from the usual level, but the signal will reach any point on the lot up to the chain on the east side, including the gravel/grassy area on the south side).

Prayer Friends of the Week:

Our Prayer Friend of the Week is Mary Elizabeth Sanders, whose 96th birthday we celebrated today. Mary Elizabeth is a matriarch of our church, having served many terms as an Elder. She has always been active on  church committees and is an important part of our church’s fellowship. Her mailing address is 502 E. Mission in Marshall. Please remember her in your prayers this week, and perhaps take a moment to send her an encouraging card, note, or email.

Announcements:

By order of Session, all indoor events and activities at Covenant Presbyterian Church have been cancelled until further notice.

Everyone is invited to join in a parade to celebrate Bedford Knipschild’s 93rd birthday. Please gather in the church parking lot at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, May 30, and we will caravan past his house to honk, wave, and wish him a special day.

The church office is aware of volunteers who are willing to help with the needs of those trying to maintain optimal self-isolation. If you are in need of assistance with errands, please contact the church office.

If you are aware of anyone who will need assistance with being able to afford utility bills, please inform them of the Benevolence funding available through the Marshall Ministerial Alliance. Persons in need may contact Jeannie Tucker at First Baptist Church (660-886-5546) to schedule an appointment with Rev. Wayne Doolin (appointments are at 1:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). Funds are not being distributed until July when the need for air conditioning will increase. Please also consider donating to the Alliance’s Benevolence Fund to help them be able to meet this summer’s increased need for assistance.

Please contact the church office with any joys and concerns so that these can be shared electronically until worship services in the sanctuary resume.

Please contact David Van Horn at 660-815-7707 if you are in need of pastoral care.
